Today I was on shot with Don from Sweet Pictures, Simon Green from Greenrock and Ben Taggart filming interviews at RBS to regain customer trust on the dramatic day of their Libor fine. It was very interesting to be at the heart of what was happening. I assisted the production and filmed second camera with the F800 with Don on the 5D and slider and the view made for some lovely shots from the RBS building.

Today was my last day working with Sweet Pictures. It was a very busy day being the live show day at Santa Pod raceway. Our usual quiet nearly abandoned track was instead heaving with fans. The atmosphere was brilliant and as the stunts Terry Grant and Tony Dixon were performing have never been done before the audience reaction was great. It was sad that it was the last day as the crew were a fantastic bunch of talented friendly people. As well as meeting new people it was nice to see three of the people I worked with at the Olympics; Don (Director), big Ben (slow motion camera Sony FS700) and little Ben on GoPro’s. I learnt a lot working on this production; about how 3D is filmed and about stunt driving! To top it off we had an interesting wrap party with the crew and hope to stay in contact and see what they’re all up to the future!
Today was my first day as a camera assistant working with Sweet Pictures on an exciting 3D project for Discovery called Monster Truck 3D. Where stunt driver Terry Grant has teamed up with monster truck driver Tony Dixon to create some new and exciting stunts. I am working as a camera assistant and it is my first experience in 3D production which is very exciting. When I arrived 3D camera man Tim gave me a crash course in 3D which was very interesting to see how different it is from 2D production. The first day was very eye opening not only in the organisation of the production but also the stunts. The combination of monster truck and stunt car worked so well producing stunts the world has never seen before and I can’t wait till tomorrow for it to continue.
